The aim of the Curriculum of the Department of Public and Integrated Health at the University of Thessaly is research and education in the assessment of health needs, the implementation of evidence-based measures for the improvement of health and environmental protection, the utilization of healthcare services in this effort, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of interventions.

The interdisciplinary and integrated approach to the health of humans, animals, and the environment is an innovative perspective that places the Department of Public and Integrated Health at the forefront of the scientific community worldwide.

To obtain the degree (starting from the academic year 2019-2020), students are required to attend and be examined in 46 courses (39 mandatory, 7 elective mandatory), complete a practical training (pass/fail), and submit a thesis (graded on a scale of 10), which collectively correspond to 240 ECTS credits.
