The Department of Public and One Health at the University of Thessaly has been a full member of the Association of Schools of Public Health in the European Region (ASPHER) since its first year of operation in 2019.

ASPHER’s main goal is to enhance the education of public health scientists and the continuous lifelong training of health professionals to meet both the practical and research needs in Public Health.

By promoting the development of skills, innovation, and high standards of education in public health, ASPHER supports its member schools.

Additionally, ASPHER has developed a dynamic roadmap aimed at enhancing the professionalism of the public health workforce in response to the increasing global needs. This roadmap includes a multidisciplinary strategic approach, with One Health as its main pillar.
