Laboratory of Comparative Physiology and Pathophysiology (CPP)

Laboratory of Comparative Physiology and Pathophysiology (CPP)
The Laboratory aims to study the structure and function of human and animal organisms within the context of One Health. It focuses on the study of the interaction between different systems, compensatory mechanisms in response to disturbances in normal function, and the development of pathological conditions, as well as the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying the onset and progression of diseases related to public and one health and their clinical manifestations.
The Laboratory investigates the function and pathophysiological mechanisms of humans and animals using holistic and systems approaches, employing omics technologies, such as proteomics, and studying biomarkers in the context of pathophysiology and disease diagnosis.
