Bachelor Thesis

The preparation and submission of the Bachelor Thesis is mandatory for all students of the Department, and the positive evaluation of the submitted thesis is a prerequisite for the completion of their studies.

The main objective of the Bachelor Thesis is to familiarize students with the scientific field of Public and Integrated Health through research methodology and the study of current topics, as well as to develop critical and inductive thinking. Additionally, the Bachelor Thesis aims at cultivating various skills.

To achieve the goal of the Bachelor Thesis, the student is required to delve into a subject of personal interest, study relevant literature, organize and carry out the corresponding experimental protocol or scientific review, and subsequently utilize the experimental results or the findings of the review, formulating scientifically grounded and feasible proposals for further development of the field or the resolution of the scientific issue being studied.

 

The student has the right to submit a request for the preparation of the Bachelor Thesis or an extension request for the thesis, choosing one of the following cases:

According to the Bachelor Thesis Regulation, the students eligible to apply for the preparation of the thesis are:

A) Students who enter the 7th semester in October, at the beginning of the Winter semester, and have successfully completed at least thirty-one (31) courses by the September exam session after the 6th semester. To complete and present the thesis, they must have completed the 7th semester exams in January and passed at least thirty-six (36) courses in total. The course declaration will be made at the beginning of the Spring semester in February.

B) Students who enter the 8th semester in February, at the beginning of the Spring semester, and have successfully completed at least thirty-one (31) courses by the January exam session after the 7th semester. The course declaration will be made at the beginning of the Spring semester in February. To complete and present the thesis, students must have completed the 8th semester exams in June and passed at least thirty-six (36) courses in total.

C) Students who are in the final stages of their degree (over the 8th semester, n+2), have completed their Practical Training, and have successfully passed at least thirty-six (36) courses in total up to and including the 7th semester.

The declaration for the thesis course (PΤ801 – Bachelor Thesis) can be made through the electronic academic portal during the course declarations for the 8th semester in the Spring semester of each year, except for final-year students.
