Erasmus

Erasmus
Erasmus+ is the European Commission’s program for education, training, youth, and sport, aiming to enhance skills and employability while modernizing education, training, and youth systems across all sectors of lifelong learning (Higher Education, Vocational Education and Training, Adult Education, School Education, youth activities, etc.).
The Erasmus+ program is structured into three key actions for education, training, and youth.
The program’s action in the field of Higher Education is closely linked to the Erasmus program and provides funding for student and staff mobility in Higher Education Institutions in countries participating in the program.
The new Erasmus+ program was named after its predecessor due to its high recognition.
Student and staff mobility abroad is considered particularly important, as participants gain numerous benefits. Through mobility, students have the opportunity to develop new skills and qualifications that contribute to their personal growth.
Specifically, students can improve their language skills, develop intercultural competencies, and evolve into European Citizens. Additionally, students who engage in internships abroad can gain valuable work experience in a company or organization.
Moreover, mobility provides an opportunity for faculty and staff of Higher Education Institutions to upgrade their skills, exchange best practices, and gain significant experiences.
To support young people interested in completing a full cycle of postgraduate studies in another EU country, the Erasmus+ program also offers student loans with favorable repayment terms.
This option has been available since the academic year 2015-2016, and students should contact banks in their respective countries for more details.
It is clarified that only Higher Education Institutions accredited with the Erasmus+ University Charter by the European Commission are eligible to apply for funding through the National Agency.
