Academic Ethics

Academic Ethics
Our Department fully aligns with the “Code of Ethics and Good Practice” of the University of Thessaly, ensuring that all our academic, research, and administrative activities are governed by the principles of ethics, integrity, and transparency.
This Code, developed by the University’s Ethics Committee in accordance with Article 217 of Law 4957/2022, aims to establish a framework that promotes excellence, meritocracy, and respect for the rights of all members of the academic community. Its implementation enhances the cohesion and credibility of research teams, while promoting the quality and prestige of the Institution.
On the University of Thessaly website, in the “Ethics Issues” section, you can find detailed information about:
- The Code of Ethics and Good Practice.
- The Ethics Committee, which is responsible for drafting and overseeing the implementation of the Code, ensuring adherence to ethical standards at all levels of the University’s operations.
Knowledge of and compliance with the principles outlined in the Code are essential for the personal and professional development of every member of our Department, while also contributing to the strengthening of our collective mission to advance knowledge and innovation with ethics and responsibility.
