Academic Advisors

The Academic Advisors are part of the permanent teaching staff of the Department. Their mission is:

  • To support first-year students in order to facilitate their transition from secondary to higher education.
  • To guide students during their studies in accordance with the Department’s curriculum and their individual inclinations.
  • To assist them in solving problems during their studies and future professional careers.
  • To clarify any doubts regarding the procedures established by the Department.
  • Ultimately, to ensure the best possible adaptation of students to the academic program.

Students can consult their academic advisors during the hours set by the advisors for this purpose. It is important that students meet with their advisor at least once each academic year. According to the Department’s decision, newly admitted students are assigned to active faculty members who serve as Academic Advisors, following an electronic lottery.

Academic Advisors also act as a liaison between students and the University’s services, such as Student Welfare, the Internship Office, ACCESS, etc., aiming at better organization and successful completion of their studies.

The Department’s Secretariat informs newly admitted students about the name and contact details of their Academic Advisor.
