Accessibility

ACCESSIBILITY is the support structure for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs at the University of Thessaly (UTH).

The goal of ACCESSIBILITY is to enhance the academic and social access of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs at UTH, as well as their access to the University’s facilities.

ACCESSIBILITY provides comprehensive services primarily aimed at students with disabilities and/or special educational needs, as well as volunteers, faculty, and administrative staff at all UTH departments in the cities of Volos, Larissa, Trikala, Karditsa, and Lamia.

Additionally, ACCESSIBILITY collaborates with various organizations and participates in diverse actions regarding accessibility issues.

The services of ACCESSIBILITY are designed and provided by a team consisting of the scientific coordinator, the staff, and scientific collaborators, as well as the volunteer students of UTH.

Moreover, in each Department, there is a faculty member who acts as a liaison with ACCESSIBILITY and a designated member in the Department’s Secretariat.

Finally, the Committee for Equal Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs consists of 9 members of the University of Thessaly.

You can find two official government gazettes (ΦΕΚ) regarding the assessment process for students with disabilities and/or special educational needs at UTH:

  • Government Gazette 3094Β/2023: Regulation of issues related to the assessment process for students.
  • Government Gazette2431/Β’/2023: Adjustments for the exams of students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.

Students can register with ACCESSIBILITY electronically through its website (prosvasi.uth.gr). Additionally, faculty or administrative staff can contact ACCESSIBILITY for information or support regarding students with disabilities and/or special educational needs.

For more information, you can contact ACCESSIBILITY at prosvasi@uth.gr.
