Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MoBioGe)

The Laboratory aims to meet the educational and research needs of the Department of Public and One Health at the University of Thessaly, focusing on Molecular Biology and Genetics.

Its research activities emphasize genetic variation, hereditary diseases, and the genetic basis of multifactorial disorders in the fields of Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Cardiology, and Neurology.

The Laboratory also conducts research on wildlife genetics and biodiversity conservation, contributing to projects that promote the protection of endangered species.

The Laboratory actively collaborates with research centers, aiming to bridge the gap between basic research and its applications in Public and One Health.
