{"id":4776,"date":"2024-03-21T11:27:28","date_gmt":"2024-03-21T09:27:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pubhealth.uth.gr\/?page_id=4776"},"modified":"2025-03-03T11:47:08","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T09:47:08","slug":"accessibility","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/pubhealth.uth.gr\/en\/life\/accessibility\/","title":{"rendered":"Accessibility"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> is the support structure for students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs at the University of Thessaly (UTH).<\/p>\n<p><strong>The goal of ACCESSIBILITY is to enhance the academic and social access of students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs at UTH, as well as their access to the University&#8217;s facilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> provides comprehensive services primarily aimed at students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs, as well as volunteers, faculty, and administrative staff at all UTH departments in the cities of Volos, Larissa, Trikala, Karditsa, and Lamia.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, <strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> collaborates with various organizations and participates in diverse actions regarding accessibility issues.<\/p>\n<p>The services of <strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> are designed and provided by a team consisting of the scientific coordinator, the staff, and scientific collaborators, as well as the volunteer students of UTH.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, in each Department, there is a faculty member who acts as a liaison with <strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> and a designated member in the Department\u2019s Secretariat.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the Committee for Equal Accessibility for Persons with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs consists of 9 members of the University of Thessaly.<\/p>\n<p>You can find two official government gazettes (\u03a6\u0395\u039a) regarding the assessment process for students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs at UTH:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Government Gazette 3094\u0392\/2023:<\/strong> Regulation of issues related to the assessment process for students.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Government Gazette2431\/\u0392\u2019\/2023:<\/strong> Adjustments for the exams of students with disabilities and\/or special educational needs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students can register with <strong>ACCESSIBILITY<\/strong> electronically through its website (prosvasi.uth.gr).
