Other departments located in Karditsa include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Department of Veterinary Medicine<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Department of Food Science and Nutrition<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>The <strong>Department of Forestry, Wood Sciences, and Design<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Graduates of the <strong data-start=\"1018\" data-end=\"1057\">Department of Public and One Health<\/strong> gain the necessary knowledge and skills to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Control endemic diseases<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement successful prevention campaigns (e.g., for depression, cancer, cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, accidents, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Manage crises and develop measures to prevent and respond to natural disasters<\/li>\n<li>Oversee healthcare services and manage population health by optimizing resource allocation<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate zoonotic risks &#8211; diseases transmitted from animals and food to humans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The <strong>four-year interdisciplinary education<\/strong> in risk assessment and management related to <strong>human, animal, and environmental health<\/strong> leads to a <strong data-start=\"1704\" data-end=\"1722\">Level 6 degree<\/strong> under the <strong>National Qualifications Framework<\/strong>.
